The Secret Behind Blue Ginger

It has been a long journey for Chef Rishi but he always cooked with passion and precision for the last 13 years. He joined the Taj group of Hotels fresh from Hotel School and found his home there. Being fascinated by traditional cooking techniques, first began at The Taj Residency in Lucknow. Here he mastered the art of Awadhi cuisine, once he had learnt all he could he decided to move on to other cuisines.

Teppenyaki and other oriental cuisines like Thai, Malaysian, Japanese and Vietnamese were next on his list and this has been a great boon for him. He is so good at what he does that he was chosen to be an opening member of the successful fine dining, Pan Asian restaurant – Hip Asia at the Taj Connemara hotel in Chennai.

He currently is the Executive Sous Chef at the Taj West End Hotel and for the last 5 and a half years has been an important man that contributes to the magic of Blue Ginger. He ensures that  his cooking exudes the theme of the restaurant i.e a celebration of vibrant food, colour and life!
