Diya – The Leela Ambience Gurgaon is an Indian restaurant located in the lobby level of the hotel. Diya is the Times Award winner of the best North Indian (Hotel). Diya , located at the lobby level of the hotel is a fine and modestly decorated restaurant overlooking the Rajokri gardens. India is known for its hospitality and the saying, “Atithi Devo Bhava”. The staff at Diya is trained to follow this art of hospitality amidst a contemporary setting. With a capacity to accommodate 112 guests, the restaurant serves a mosaic of Indian cuisines.
You are welcomed by a huge metal-framed rosewood door followed by a showcase of modern and traditional Indian art. The restaurant decor is soothing and stylish blessed by abundant natural light that streams in through the wall-to-wall high windows. Complimented by light from the beautiful crafted hanging lamps and a gurgling water fountain in the centre of the restaurant, Diya lends a calming effect to the diners. The restaurant also has a glass enclosed private seating area.
The menu is a culinary mosaic of Indian flavours. Tandoori platter (fish tikka, chicken malai kebab, Tandoori jhinga and mutton seekh kebab) is one of the best picks here. The kebabs soft and succulent having been marinated with the right hint of spices and cooked to perfection. The other dishes that are equally delicious and unique are Vegetarian mix grill, Gosht khitchra, saag gosht, dal makhani, Murgh Kurchan, Malai kofta, Gosht Aur Badam Ka Shorba, Tawa Seared Duck Breast, Anjeer Chutney, Panchphoran Crusted Salmon, Galauti kebab, Sigri kebab, Hyderabadi Gosht Biryani.
Desserts like chenna payesh with coffee liquor, Mandarin zest scented Phirni, aam ki kulfi and green apple shrikhand steals the show.
